What you'll be doing

Lift Truck Operator is responsible for reading picking documents, pulling the correct product and properly loading this product on the appropriate truck while always operating the lift in a safe and efficient manner. The operator must be able to understand and carry out the product rotation program. The candidate is also responsible for learn and utilize PRISM system in an accurate manner. Cross trained in all areas to assist with break and lunch relief. Support the safety quality and reliability of the plant and team. Maintain the warehouse in a clean condition including sweeping, moping and scrubbing. If assigned to the production line, the lift truck operator must make labels; keep the line supplied with raw materials, remove, and properly place the finished product. Must be flexible as to shift and scheduling due to frequently changing production and scheduling needs. Complete all paperwork as needed. Maintain effective communication with the department team lead through conversations, reports, and meetings. Be able to analyze problems and suggest effective solutions. Must maintain distribution supplies at the prescribed levels so that the line does not shut down for lack of materials. Perform all other duties as assigned by leads and supervisor.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively and convey information to other employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Operator must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, and lift to replace damaged cases on pallets. These cases range in weight from 22-55 lbs.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
