What you'll be doing
- The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Candidate will work in a warehouse, where products or equipment are stored on pallets, stacked on housing racks. The environments are fast moving, industrial spaces. Candidates will work full-time shift work at a variety of start times, sometimes overnight. The operator will report to the warehouse supervisor, who in charge of filling orders and maintaining the organization of the warehouse. Other duties such as operate industrial vehicles and equipment, transport raw materials, full goods and finished goods to designated area, load and unload designated trailers and route trucks. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
What your background should be
- To be success forklift operators must have a strong spatial awareness a dedication to workplace safety and the ability to organize and sort with detail. Strong communication and technical skills are highly valuable. Minimum 3 year of general work experience required. 1+ year prior warehouse/stocking/forklift experience preferred. Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment a plus. Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product. Demonstrate attention to detail. Forklift certification is required.
Required Schooling / Training
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
