What you'll be doing
- The County Department of Public Health is searching for a responsible and team oriented candidate for the Full Time School Nurse position. The most important duties behind this role include monitoring and checking the status of immunization of the students, guaranteeing emergency care plans and building, coaching, monitoring and teaching plans of care for the High School students, who have special health needs. The chosen candidate for the Full Time School Nurse role will also train and direct High School personnel members in routine administration and documentation of various medications, and provide assistance in the process of studying and monitoring of communicable illnesses that are identified in the assigned educational establishments. The Full Time School Nurse will be also a health resource individual for the High School community, communicate with the students and the members of their families (regularly), and build up positive relationships that will improve academic experience of the students. The incumbent will be requested to report directly to the High Schools assigned from home. Besides, the Full Time School Nurse will become one of 23 members of the health team of the High School.
