What you'll be doing

This position will be responsible for assisting with the design and conducting in-depth reviews of the AML, sanctions or ABC programs across all lines of business. The successful candidate must have strong core project management skills, the ability to prioritize/manage time, and a willingness to tackle new and difficult challenges. The candidate must have a broad understanding of BSA/AML, OFAC, and ABC regulations as well as retail and wholesale banking systems. The candidate will be expected to interact with senior management in the lines of business and within GFCC as well as other corporate functions. This individual may be involved in supporting management of vendor services when utilized for remedial or look back or other review functions. The role will work closely with leaders of investigations and monitoring, KYC, GFCC testing, and other GFCC senior management and advisory functions to analysis, assessment and recommendations for improvements in current GFCC priority areas. Create project plans and assist with the definition of project objectives and identification of stakeholders. Assist in managing department analytics, SRT annual portfolio of reviews, development of methods for review and other ad hoc reporting, presentations and projects.

What your background should be

The ideal candidate will have experience at a large financial institution performing legal, compliance, or other duties such as risk management, project management, document review and analysis. 6+ years experience in an operational, investigational, or advisory capacity; 3+ years in compliance or related field. Understanding of BSA, AML, OFAC and other AML regulatory policies with the ability to apply and explain regulatory concepts; understanding of regulatory and compliance environment and lifecycle. Able to manage multiple work streams involving multiple partners and groups and be able to make decisions autonomously. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders on regulatory engagements. Strong PC Skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and other reporting tools. Experience in internal audit, operational risk management, APAC and EMEA regulatory environment or other control function. Knowledge of consumer and wholesale banking products including investment management, treasury services, and correspondent banking businesses will be a plus. CFE and CAMS certification a plus. Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, French, or Russian language skills is preferred.
