What you'll be doing
- Manage a global FTE team (approximately 21 in headcount) based America that will complete all the Wintel SA requests globally in line with the defined SLAs. Leverage and improve the existing metrics and KPIs to ensure that SLAs are being achieved. Drive organizational efficiencies by making metric based decisions to maximize the throughput and quality. Work across GTI engineering and operations to drive automation. Partner with the engineering team to insure standards are documented and deployed appropriately. Improve upon existing resource utilization metrics to further drive accuracy in reporting. Use LEAN/Six Sigma techniques to drive efficiency, improve speed to market and improve the quality of the end product delivered to the customers.
What your background should be
- 5+ years in managing teams in a large global environment. 10+ years of hands on experience working with Windows servers in a production environment. Familiarity with VMware ESX server. Advanced MS Office skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of Windows 200x Server products. Understanding of security best practices for multi-tiered operating systems. Familiarity with Autosys, ControlM SCCM, SCOM, NetBackup.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor of science degree.
