What you'll be doing
- The Global Supply Chain Manager (GSCM) will manage the end to end supply chain for assigned products in the tactical planning time horizon and also support key strategic initiatives for the brand. The individual will lead, coordinate and integrate the functional/tactical planning activities for assigned supply chains in close collaboration with product leaders and partner with International planning hubs. The GSCM will be a member of the Value Chain Management Team for assigned products and will be the MMD lead for the Global Sales and Operations Planning Process. The incumbent will also be responsible for collaborating with other GSCM for best practice sharing and Standard Business Process development. Develops adequate supply options to manage and resolve supply/demand imbalances and optimization and executes product allocations in an effective manner. Establishes/owns global customer service objectives (OTIF/LIFR) Communicates progress toward attainment of objectives. Leads Global Supply Team for assigned products with all applicable regional planning hubs and site planning representatives. Owns profit plan and inventory plan processes for assigned products. Executes supply chain line design identifies and implements supply chain productivity and innovation opportunities. Leads process for tender evaluation and management. Coordinates processing of all planned requirements to the respective sites via monthly planning process. Reviews regional production plans for all sites to ensure supply/demand balancing. Plans and develops optimum inventory levels/targets and coordinates actions to ensure timely supply and launch of products to meet market/customer requirements. Develops and implements business optimization processes and supply chain management initiatives. Participates on or leads special projects related to departmental initiatives or product supply.
What your background should be
- Advanced degree and/or APICS CSCP certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in planning, materials management, manufacturing or related positions. Must be a self starter. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a proven ability to lead cross functional teams and the ability to manage multiple priorities as well as anticipate and solve problems. Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel is a must. Basic understanding of Manufacturing Operations preferred. Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Project and supply chain modeling desirable.
