Head Volleyball Coach

What you'll be doing: Collect and keep on file all required medical and parent consent forms. Enforce and model professionalism, discipline and sportsmanship at all times. Support and adhere to policies and rules established by the state association, board of education, inter valley league, the school district and school. Accountable for issuing, collecting and inventorying, all equipment and uniforms. Plan and organize safe and effective practices that emphasize team unity and the development of the basic fundamentals and skills of the activity. Establish consistent and fair team guidelines for all student athletes. Work cooperatively with the activity director in setting up facilities and securing personnel for game and meet management. Conduct post season assessment of assistant coaches. Prepare budget requests and equipment recommendations for the activity director. Establish appropriate guidelines and supervise players behavior and conduct in the locker rooms and on school buses. Promote interest and enthusiasm for the activity program to students, staff, and parents. Attend all activity meetings that are scheduled. Exhibit respect and dignity for all students and athletes at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What your background should be: Hold a valid teaching certificate or a NFICEP coach certification. Knowledge and ability to perform assigned coaching task. Able to promote a positive athletic environment for both students and parents.
