What you'll be doing

Manage and monitor performance of plans and associated vendors in the areas of benefit design, customer service, claims payment service, provider network, performance guarantees, web tools, eligibility accuracy, member programs, and overall plan and program value. May partner with the companys health and productivity organization on health and wellness initiatives and disability management. Manage and facilitate the execution of vendor contracts and performance guarantees. Develop and monitor plan/vendor annual action plan/initiatives as well as vendor re-engineering efforts and process improvements. Perform complex problem resolution with vendors on member issues. Look for and analyze trends and opportunities to improve and add value to programs and services. Develop recommendations for enhancing program designs. Provide input and support for annual open enrollment activities. Provide policy counsel and ensures that plans are administered in accordance with plan documents. Participate in developing and reviewing legal documents and communications materials for plans that are accurate and in compliance with legal requirements. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong customer service orientation. Manage special projects as needed. Provide analysis, develop, and present analytical business cases and project plans. Possess ability to build collaborative relationships with team mates, third party vendors, HR business partners and all levels of employees and retirees. Leverage knowledge and experience in health and welfare administration to add value to plans.

What your background should be

Minimum 3 years of vendor administration, health and welfare benefit plan, or disability plan administration. Strong analytical ability including a demonstrated ability to develop, present and monitor analytical business cases and project plans. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated project management experience. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Demonstrated vendor management skills. Experience working for a health care carrier, consulting firm, or insurance company is a plus. CEBS or other benefits certification is a plus.
