Completion of a health unit coordinator program including completion of the intern-ship associated with the program or one year of unit secretary experience required. Health unit coordinator certificate and intern-ship evaluation(s) indicating program completion must be attached to the application to be considered. Demonstrates patience and tact in dealing with health team members, patients and visitors. Able to prioritize work under pressure, encountering and tolerating many interruptions. Adapts to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

High school diploma.
