What you'll be doing

Responsible for the definition, development, improvement and management of effective health care compliance & government contract compliance system to ensure that business practices remain in compliance with all applicable regulations. Ensure organizational awareness of healthcare compliance systems and processes. Assist senior management with conceptualization and implementation of health care compliance strategy and policies to support changing business needs. Oversee the establishment of effective programs designed to protect the company from liability or fraudulent or abusive practices. Provide senior management with reports related to health care compliance. Provide direction on research and translation of regulatory requirements to business. Ensure collaboration and best practice sharing with business, and relevant partners to promote a consistent approach and streamlined systems. Review compliance problems, questions or complaints from within company, customers and regulatory agencies, and evaluates corrective action for potential outcomes. Consult with legal regarding material review. Ensure that contracting and regulatory requirements are updated.

What your background should be

Minimum of 8 years of business experience, with at least five years in health care compliance, government contracts compliance or related compliance area is required. Certified information privacy professional (CIPP) or certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) is preferred. Knowledge of healthcare fraud and abuse, anti-corruption and false claims laws is required. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health care reimbursement is required. Knowledge of laws and regulations concerning the marketing and promotion of medical devices is required. Knowledge of financial or auditing practices is required.

Required Schooling / Training

Minimum a bachelor degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
