What you'll be doing
- Receive request by mail, telephone, or in person regarding insurance claim and policy. Respond to inquiry from policyholder, provider, and other for information and assistance. Perform research to respond to inquiry and interpret policy provision to determine most effective response. Mail or routes claim form and supporting documentation to various units for final processing. Independently respond to inquiries, grievance, complaint, or appeal ranging from routine to moderate complexity. Seek assistance with complex customer service issue. Perform all other assigned task as required.
What your background should be
- Two or more years in a call center environment. Strong interpersonal skill with capacity to project warmth and empathy. Effective listening and organizational skill. Attention to detail required. Strong analytical skill. Excellent PC skill. Proven customer service skill. Proven data entry skill. Time management and priority setting skill.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma or equivalent.
