Implementation & Support Engineer

What you'll be doing: This is a part of a small dynamic team within technology operations, candidate will provide first in class support and implementation services for the organization. This role also includes additional responsibilities where necessary such as integration with production, developing automation and ensuring compliance to policies and standards for process, technology and security. Responsibilities of the incumbent are to develop tools for system monitoring and support, provide point of escalation contact for second level application troubleshooting. Perform effective scoping of work, meets goals, collaborates, delegates or escalates to other team as appropriate with minimal oversight or assistance and implement production changes such as application deployments, software upgrades and bug fixes to increase system reliability and performance.

What your background should be: The candidate should have to be familiar with programming methodologies and demonstrate proficiency in writing code in one or more of the following languages: Shell, Powershell, Ruby, Python and Perl. Proven troubleshooting methodology with at least 3 to 6 years experience on technical support roles for large scale production infrastructure, thorough understanding on data flow, architecture, networking (experience of TCP/IP), storage solutions (SAN/NAS), technical expertise on Windows servers (Windows 2003 to 2008) and applications (MS Cluster/MS SQL/IIS), for implementation, administration and support roles. Experience with open source OS (Linux) and technologies, knowledge in monitoring (Graphite, Logstash, Nagios, Sensu, Elasticsearch), experience with data center operations, hardware, management systems, web services, MS databases, UNIX, Linux, Windows and deep understanding of network and protocols, remote support experience covering 24 x 7 mission critical business environment exceptional communications skills, a collaborative disposition, a drive for quality and high emotional intelligence are expected.

Required Schooling / Training: A computer science, engineering or related degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
