What you'll be doing

The import clerk is responsible for daily monitoring of all systems activity related to customer orders, VAS work orders and shipments. He/she will timely response to emails and voicemails concerning orders, issue resolution, routing questions and customer requests. Assist in the coordination of client specific KPI (metrics) with appropriate supervision and management. Review client invoicing to ensure accurate and timely billing for services rendered to client. React with the appropriate urgency to internal and external customer needs and requests. Establish a solid rapport with company associates, clients and key vendor/partners. Consistently meet and exceed all company and client service goals including order processing and value added targets. The incumbent is responsible for daily distribution of client required open order and short reports. Update and enhance the client profile documentation for all assigned accounts.

What your background should be

At least 1 to 3 years of experience as a client account representative preferably in a 3PL industry is required. Requires ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural or compositional characteristics, whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards of data, people, or objects/things. Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information. Requires the ability to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of independent judgments in the absence of supervisor; to acquire knowledge of topics related to primary occupation. Must have the ability to comprehend and interpret received information and the ability to comprehend and implement basic office machinery functions.
