What you'll be doing

The company is currently seeking for a insurance account manager. Respond to phone calls and walk-in A & B clients. Answer questions and resolve problems for A & B clients. Invoice and process new and renewal business, endorsements, audits, and cancellations, including updating the computer system on A & B accounts. Maintain proper documentation on coverages and exceptions for assigned accounts. Maintain customer files on both paper and computer according to procedures for assigned accounts. Review accounts at renewal, obtaining updates on A or B accounts by onsite visits. Refer other insurance lines to appropriate departments. Monitor all expirations and be sure all renewals are processed. Due to changing business conditions, management may request that additional duties or functions be assigned to this position. Work with producer on receiving referrals, participating in the initial client meeting to explain how we work, and gathering initial information such as engagement letter, census, risk appraisal, existing plan data, etc. Monitor outstanding quotes and respond to the follow up questions from carriers, keeping client posted on progress. Assist with preparation of client presentation material. Coordinating with producer the presentation of finds to the client. Complete all sales follow up: group meeting, enrollment, submission, follow up, issuance, installation, delivery of client administrative materials.

What your background should be

The candidate should have grade assignment based primarily upon the individual high level of experience, production capacity to service large accounts, and ability to maintain client relationships both inside and outside the office. Must have state issued agent license (property and casualty or life and health, as required by department). Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Superb interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma.
