Insurance Accounting Team Leader

What you'll be doing
- The incumbent will be responsible for the processing and supporting of complete, accurate, and timely valuation and financial statement information for the most complex and sophisticated daily and or monthly valued insurance relationships on the Eagle STAR accounting platform. These relationships require frequent contact with mid and senior level client contacts to address and resolve unique client issues and challenges. Candidate will have significant interaction with all support groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for nontraditional trade processing for complex investment manager/client portfolios and for mitigation of the associated risk. Applicant must be able to address and resolve very complex issues to the complete satisfaction of the clients. Provide training to and workflow guidance on all aspects of work for junior team members. Provide limited back up support to the supervisors and managers. The incumbent will work very closely with the client auditors and consultants. While working in a very risk prone environment, candidate must be able to exceed client expectations while significantly mitigating day-to-day risk.
What your background should be
- The qualified candidate will possess comparable work experience and must have a comprehensive knowledge of securities and trust accounting theories and practices. Candidate must be highly proficient with PC applications and our core on-line systems and information delivery tools. Possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under significant pressure, while adhering to constantly changing strict deadlines. Candidate should have very strong client servicing skills and must be very detail and control oriented with a very strong understanding of business risk. This position requires 2 + years of relevant securities/trust experience or proven competency as a senior accounting analyst.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
