What you'll be doing

This position is responsible for producing new business through outbound sales initiatives specific to a defined geographical area. Building a minimum annual book of business of $1.5M from within a defined geographical area. Management of a sales pipeline (leads, indications, applications, quotes). Outbound prospecting (cold calls, referrals, society meetings, networking). Prospecting group accounts of 20 or less physicians. Mining existing lead generation technology to create new sales opportunities. Gather information from prospects and identify prospects needs. Prepare indications and presentations for prospect. Collaborate with underwriting for quoting and final terms.

What your background should be

Prior medical professional liability sales experience required. Professional, polished and intelligent. Willingness to work as part of a sales team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Negotiation skills. Be able to quickly grasp new concepts, systems, and processes. Proficient with Microsoft office suite. Property and casualty insurance agent license. Prior experience using Sales force CRM.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
