What you'll be doing

Part cost plan through entire vehicle development stage for major/minor change project. Generation of cost reduction idea and feasibility analysis for current/new vehicle project to meet vehicle cost target. Internal and competitor vehicle/part benchmark analysis. Identify cost reduction opportunity. Lead and support cost reduction proposal implementation by test and verification to client company standard. Arrange/organize design competition meeting for select commodity to support most competitive source and supply base. Lead/participate in vehicle teardown activity within the cost planning department. Coordinate cost reduction for globally designed vehicle. Support part localization and commonization strategy development. Make proposal to upper management. Perform other duty as required.

What your background should be

Minimum of 5 years working on client companies vehicle programs or equivalent. Experience working in a cross functional team consisting of purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Familiarity with MS Office. Prefer completion of B-rank ACES project. Prefer completion of TBP training.

Required Schooling / Training

BS degree in an engineering discipline (prefer electrical engineering).
