Inventory Specialist

What you'll be doing

Understand the layout of the warehouse and bin/shelf location systems. Retrieve materials requests submitted from the production floor. Verify part numbers, quantities, and inventory locations to ensure accuracy of requests. Examine material and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts. Report all low stock parts to materials manager. Systematically transact inventory through asset management system. Use care in handling of all materials and parts. Operate all material handling equipment safely while adhering to all company policies and regulations. Deliver materials to technicians in a timely manner. Maintain necessary quantities of materials on production floor. Perform routine cycle counts throughout warehouse locations. You will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.

What your background should be

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. Good command of the English language. Ability to perform basic adding, subtracting, and multiplying skills to a 12th grade level.

Required Schooling / Training

High School Diploma or GED
