What you'll be doing
- The systems engineering will involve defining, developing, maintaining and advising on the effective use of the company IT architecture. The network engineering team is responsible for LAN/WAN networks, datacenter networking support, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Wireless, and quality of service. The candidate will perform Cisco WAN/LAN networking hardware and IOS installation, configuration, integration, and support including Nexus 7000, Catalyst 6509, 3750, 2900 series, and ACE Load Balancers. S/he is responsible for system and network management activities; problem-determination and resolution; project team participation, and new technology awareness, research and system integration.
What your background should be
- Minimum 2 years of systems engineering experience implementing and supporting Cisco networks required. Excellent communication and team skills; flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner; demonstrate ability to work under minimal supervision required. High degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity; ability to design, implement, and support complex wide area networks: excellent understanding of network security required. Networking certifications, good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and to be a team member) required.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate degree or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in computer science or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
