What you'll be doing

Make additions and changes to the database and its functions; establish file transfer protocols; provide for data sharing; test and deploy current and next versions of software; act as advocate for department needs/wants; learn and understand users requirements and interpret between business needs and IT solutions. Maintain all user accounts and stations; set up, configure, maintain, clean up and transfer data; immediate support for hardware and software problems and fix or replace desktop computers; relocate computers due to staff moves and respond to frequent requests for service for PC and printer problems. Record changes in users and locations; maintain database of users and machines; assign printers and trays; maintain training room and conduct workshops as required; use computer laboratory to test new and upgraded software and hardware before deployment to ensure compatibility and functionality and monitor system performance to identify and correct problems. Evaluate available software to meet users information needs, review product comparison and make recommendations for purchase or to upgrade existing software; test new or upgraded software; install, configure, support and maintain software and test and configure workstation changes for critical use of electronic court filing.

What your background should be

Minimum 5+ years of related information systems experience in a management capacity is required. Ability to make decisions and recommendations on technology strategies. Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work with cross-functional/cross departmental teams. Demonstrated leadership ability. Ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities in a complex environment. Ability to analyze information related to computer technology to assist in directing management in the selection of software and hardware to meet the needs of the business unit.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
