What you'll be doing
- Assists with the supervision and coaching of student athletes at all levels of the program. Works closely with the Varsity Dance Coach and athletes. Communicates with the athletic director and athletic secretary about student athletes, needs, incidents and all concerns related to the athletic program. Will assist in developing a dance schedule, camps, etc. Helps to direct and supervise instructional and conditioning camps throughout the year. Communicates with coaching staff, athletes, parents and the community. Promotes the student athlete and assists with academic eligibility. Assists in supporting the student athlete with information concerning scholarships and financial aid. Follows league, district, and CHSAA policies and regulations.
What your background should be
- Strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of all aspects of the skills involved with this sport required. Coach certification or ability to obtain required. Previous high school coaching experience preferred. Previous Dance Team experience at the college level preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- College degree preferred or high school degree required.
