What you'll be doing

Successful candidate will conduct entomological field and laboratory trials with reduced risk and conventional insecticides on pest and beneficial arthropods of deciduous fruit, nuts and vine crops. Organize, maintain and statistically analyze data from the above studies. Prepare reports and presentations of the above studies. Maintain laboratory in a clean and organized manner. Assist senior staff in both field and laboratory studies. Summer work will concentrate on field studies and winter work will concentrate on data input analysis and report preparation as well as laboratory experimentation. The successful candidate will work independently and help to supervise entry level assistants or undergraduate students.

What your background should be

Ability to work in hot, dry conditions, attention to detail, experience in experimental biology, knowledge of microsoft word and excel, field data collection, ability to work as a team and independently, problem solving ability, creative thinker.

Required Schooling / Training

BA or BS with preference given to candidates with entomological course work.
