What you'll be doing
- Perform all maintenance functions and effectively troubleshoot all aircraft. Make critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner. Complete all documentation/paper work in a neat and proficient manner according to company policies and procedures, as well as per FAR 65.81 and 65.83. Conduct and document OJT for new hires while ensuring all AMTs receive the quality training necessary to obtain a versatile crew on his shift. Monitor and evaluate employees under his supervision and make personnel recommendations to the maintenance supervisor. Provide assistance to AMTs for research, gathering of parts, technical information or paperwork completions, and for the efficient completion of workloads. Continually provide timely and accurate aircraft status updates to the maintenance controller and/or maintenance supervisor to ensure the most efficient operational decisions are made. Perform as the acting maintenance supervisor when designated by his manager. Any other task as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
