What you'll be doing
- Health Administrator assists with planning skilled nursing care to patients in the home. Perform skills in accordance with the physician orders and only under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. Candidate will assists in evaluating assigned patients, families and the home environment for continued service from the agency. Provide comprehensive nursing care under the supervision of the registered nurse. Follow the nursing process and standards of nursing care in the delivery of care to patients. Performs treatments requiring specialized skills ordered by the physician and assigned by the registered nurse. Administer oral, topical, sublingual, subcutaneous, intradermal and intra-muscular medications and agents. Perform venipunctures to obtain blood samples. Observes, reports, and documents signs of injury, infiltration and/or inflammation at the injection site. Assist RN with development/revision of the treatment plan.
What your background should be
- A successful candidate must have ability to perform tasks involving physical activity which may include lifting 50 pounds or more and extensive bending and standing. Ability to travel extensively during all seasons into assigned patient homes. Valid auto insurance is required at all times. Personal vehicle must be well maintained and in safe driving condition. Current North Carolina licensure as a practical nurse. 1 year experience in a health care facility. Experience in home health and acute care preferred. Current state driver license. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nurse program required.

- A network of hospitals, free standing emergency departments, urgent cares and practices, located throughout North and South Carolina. It is operates eight hospitals within the Charlotte area; four of them are considered.
