What you'll be doing

Utilize kracker weekly to determine the optimum feed slate for U33. Collaborate with operations to reach the optimum feed slate. Support and corporate logistics/pipeline groups in optimizing feedstock shipments. Manage the daily process monitoring report. Provide feedback to operations and process engineers depending on the information compiled in the report. Calculate and communicate unrealized business opportunities. Generate action plans and track to completion. Calculate lost production opportunities and the capacity utilization report. Must work with management to secure approval and then report them to corporate every month. Compare the cost statement to kracker (Monthly Validation) so as to drive improvements in kracker and to correct errors in the cost statement. Support the finance team in monthly closing. Provide analysis on balance gaps. Develop and present updates, UBOs, and monthly validation presentations at the monthly S&OP/SBU meetings. Compile quarterly review slides/data for each work group. Assist finance with developing the budgeted material balance. Support the closure of material balance gaps. Provide economic analysis for the operating units.

What your background should be

Have a minimum of 2 years engineering experience in a manufacturing plant. The individual must work effectively with operations, finance, logistics, co-workers, plant management, and the Olefins SBU. Must have the ability to resolve conflicts with other functional groups and reach agreements with those groups in order to be successful. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are required. The position requires a self-starter with good planning and organizational skills.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering
