What you'll be doing
- The client is currently seeking Machine Operators. This position consists of working as a manufacturing operator in the household, small, and large commercial production area which produce water elements membrane. This position will be involved in primarily 6 different phases of the production, and rotate task to task based on business, shift and ergonomic needs. Additionally, the operator needs to fix or adjust the machines with hand tools as needed. The operator will run a machine that trims the element to a specific length. Depending on the element size, the operator will either be putting a brine seal onto the element or placing plastic end caps on the elements edges using a glue gun to secure the end caps in place. The operator will cut materials to specific lengths to meet product specifications. The operator will place the screen between the layers of material by controlling machine, manually. The operator will use the spin weld machine to shape the product water tube and attach an end cap to the edges of the elements, according to design specifications. The operator will test the element to ensure it meets production specification. The operate records defective elements and discards them. The operator will scan the element, pack it into individual bags, seal, and box the elements.
What your background should be
- Able to read and comprehend [in English] product drawings, specification sheets, operation details, material safety data sheets, troubleshooting guides, and other associated job aids both electronic and printed formats. Able to communicate in English with co-workers and leaders. Able to read and navigate human machine interface (HMI) panels. Able to lift, maneuver and carry. Able to grasp material, tools and equipment. Able to safely monitor equipment for proper functioning as well as detect product defects while in process and after dexterity. Must be able to maintain regular, predictable attendance to achieve staffing levels required for safe and effective operations. Solve basic problems using mathematics skills. Ensure product specifications are met by reading product drawings and using measurement devices and tools to confirm specifications.
