What you'll be doing
- The chosen candidate will have primary responsibility for material readiness of facilities. Responsibilities of the machinery maintenance mechanic will include: inventory and tool accountability; material budget accountability and monthly reviews; maintaining minimal material levels for building and preventative maintenance; primary interface with global supply chain on material purchases; ordering of all facilities materials; developing of sub-contract statements of work for vendors; establishing of re-order points for high use and preventative maintenance items; preparing hand receipt for tagged assets; projecting of future material budget requirements. The machinery maintenance mechanic will also perform all other duties as well as he would be assigned with by his/her supervisor or the department manager.
What your background should be
- Equivalent experience/education combinations are permitted based on the typical minimums required for this job which are 8 years of related experience. The ideal candidate requires having fundamental understanding of all aspects of facilities, all procurement policies and procedures. Prior experience in facilities maintenance and inventory control is asked.
Required Schooling / Training
- A Bachelor degree in a related discipline required.
