Maintenance Mechanic

What you'll be doing: Includes any activity needed for maintaining the plant facilities and equipment; perform general maintenance and service functions as required. Duties may include, but are not limited to: mechanical, electrical welding, plumbing/pipefitting, HVAC, carpentry and painting; repairs and preventives maintenance tasks, welding, pipefitting, air conditioning, carpentry work and painting. Performs periodic inspections and report findings. Receives general instructions from supervisors and notice of service required from supervisors and other plant personnel. Works from blueprints, sketches and oral instructions and specifications. Uses all hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for completion of assignments.

What your background should be: 5 years or more of equivalent work experience. Must have a primary and secondary skilled trade, one of which must be electrician, carpenter, plumber/pipefitter, air conditioning mechanic, maintenance welder or manufacturing machine repair. Must be able to operate material handling equipment and rigging equipment.
