Maintenance Worker

What you'll be doing: This is a maintenance worker, WG-4749-05 position with the company corp of engineer, little rock district, operation division. Back to top as a maintenance worker, candidate will maintain and repair park facility such as campsite, picnic area, public restroom, and park road. Candidate will also operate, repair, and maintain one or more flood control dam and appurtenant structure. The candidate has to follow some routine task; changing light switch, checking for blown fuse or defective breaker, completing simple repair to hydraulic gate, hoist and stand-by generator. Replacing faucet, hose connection and lawn irrigation device. Repairing item such as cabinet, shelve, bookcase, etc. Patching sidewalk, adjusting gate setting to regulate outflow of water. Checking water storage level and pressure.

What your background should be: The applicant will be screened for knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair. Technical practice, use of measuring instrument. Ability to interpret instruction and specification. Ability to use and maintain tool and equipment. Overall applicant must have the ability to do the work of a maintenance worker, WG-4749-05 without more than normal supervision. The applicant will be required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driving license. Pre-employment and annual physical examination is required. Drug testing is required
