What you'll be doing

Directly contribute to the development and implementation of the global logistic strategies in order to ensure cost effective and on time flow of globally sourced merchandise. Manage the performance of international carriers and logistic intermediaries. Ensure compliance with international and U.S. law related to import and export activity. Develop strong relationship with ocean carrier and third party logistic service provider to ensure vessel capacity and high levels of service. Secure a more competitive position to achieve cost reduction. Develop relationship with key government agencies both in the USA and abroad in order to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements in order to facilitate the flow of goods.

What your background should be

One to three years of experience in decision support tool development or implementation preferred. Eight to ten years of international business experience with an in depth knowledge of US and international custom compliance with regard to import and export regulation. Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment. Knowledge and strong experience managing global carrier. Ten plus years in of strong leadership and team building skills. Demonstrated strong organizational, communication and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics, international business or related field.
