What you'll be doing

Responsible for a full range of contract management actions in support of the space fence engineering & manufacturing development program. The candidate will support the global integrated sensors business and the strategic space fence programs directorate as part of the contracts team for this award. Responsible for interfacing with and guiding contract professionals with varied levels of experience. Provide business counsel to the business area pertaining to both production and engineering development programs, and contribute to the strategic growth goals of the business. Front-end engagement in structuring sound business arrangements, developing negotiation strategies, contract negotiations, provide governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract, offering solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks, acting as a focal point of contact with the customer for all contractual matters, and driving closure to contractual issues. Work in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Be a leader across the program execution team and interface directly with the space fence program director and IBT and CBT leads.

What your background should be

8+ years of applicable business related work experience. Experience working in contracts management of large DOD production contracts. Knowledge of and experience with FAR and DFARs. An existing secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance. Understanding of ITAR and export licensing. Experience working with various contract types. Experience and in-depth knowledge of change management. Experience with being the customer interface and building strong customer relationships. Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions. Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills. Ability to research compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulate recommendations to management.

Required Schooling / Training

BS/BA in accounting, business administration, business management, contract administration, supply chain management, economics, business law.
