What you'll be doing
- The financial services manager will perform his activities to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the departmental segment of the financial statements, LTF, annual budgets and operating reports prepared for management. This individual is responsible for the efficient operation of all areas of responsibility. The financial services manager will provide sophisticated analytical, consultative and information support to the AVP finance or VP LCI finance. This support is provided through analysis, report preparation, participation in the planning process, business development, presentations to management, executive staff and physicians, development and monitoring of key indicators. The incumbent will oversee the daily operations of the department specific accounting function. Review and approve journal entries according to system policy. Review and approve account reconciliations and ensures such are prepared on a timely basis. Provide high level analytical support utilizing various sources of information and provides clear presentation of the data with insightful interpretation. The position may be required to make presentations to various groups, including management and executive staff.
What your background should be
- Two or three years of related work experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently and supervise the work of others. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and have a thorough understanding of basic to intermediate accounting principles and practices. Applicant must be capable of exercising good judgment in making key decisions and providing direction and guidance to others. Individual must also be able to field telephone calls in a business-like manner. Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software is essential. Knowledge of peoplesoft general ledger, STAR A/R, and kaufman hall LTF and budgeting is desired.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduation from an accredited four-year institution of higher learning with a degree in accounting or finance is required.
