What you'll be doing

Assesses, plans, develops, leads and evaluates 24-hour accountability for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and interventional radiology services at hospital, including oversight of relevant data registries. Facilitates collaborative efforts between areas of responsibility and other departments/services that ensure the delivery of customer-focused, quality-driven and efficient care across the healthcare continuum. Provides supervision of nursing and technical personnel while creating an environment of shared governance, teamwork and accountability for outcomes. Fosters strong collaborative and service-oriented relationships with the multidisciplinary team, as well as internal and external customers, in order to maintain excellent clinical outcome s and promote service line growth. Manages inventory and charges as well as daily staffing and call schedules.

What your background should be

Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience or cath Lab/IR experience. National certification in specialty field preferred. Knowledge of appropriate regulatory agency standards to include but not limited to JCAHO, OSHA and IDPH. Ability to implement teaching/learning strategies and facilitate group dynamics. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required. Strong leadership, team development, business management, strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Required Schooling / Training

BA/BS degree.
