What you'll be doing
- Serve as the subject matter expert and thought leader related to programs and systems that integrate online and in-store (omni-channel retail) sales. Collaborate with product management, marketing, and store operations teams to build a stronger relationship between online and store through on-site features and in-store programs. Coordinate improvements to the product roadmap for web-in-store and other new and related channels. Develop and help execute training and certification programs for in-store associates in coordination with HR and store ops teams. Collaborate closely with peers and senior field and SSC leaders within the organization to develop and execute system development and strategic initiatives. Create an environment that welcomes change and fosters high levels of ingenuity and creative thinking, risk tolerance, and collaboration across multiple business units and centers of expertise. Work with various stakeholders to provide timely and relevant analysis, reporting, and data for field sales and online store fronts in order to better drive insights into store execution or drive related behaviors. Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization; adhere consistently with all organizational policies related to respectful workplace. Demonstrate a consistent commitment to field-focused service by prioritizing field-based requests, responding quickly and favorably to field-based feedback, by minimizing tasks, and proactively seeking ways to help store teams focus on customer service as productively as possible. Work collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simply processes, reduce costs, prevent loss, and to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time. Responsible for adhering consistently with all employment policies as stated in the employee handbook provided or as provided by his or her supervisor.
What your background should be
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in store operations or logistics at a major retailer; 2 or more years of experience with e-commerce to retail integration required. Masters degree in management, business administration, marketing, logistics or related discipline preferred. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Expert knowledge of retail store operations, execution, and logistics. Expert financial and general data analysis skills, including the ability to mine, organize and report data; identify relevant business implications; develop recommendations, and present recommendations to audiences of varied responsibility throughout the organization, including non-financial leaders. Expert relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership.
