What you'll be doing

Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the company. Defines key strategies and creates synergies throughout company businesses to advance the team vision. Develops planning team goals, strategies, and ensures they are completed on time and under budget. Plans and manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives. Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization. Provides strategic global planning support for key initiatives that increase efficiency and sustain company growth. Develops relationships with International supply chain teams to ensure cohesive supply chain strategies. Champions ideas and opportunities for cost reduction, review and action by a cross-functional group of stakeholders. Develops and enhances planning processes and procedures. Makes continuous improvements in costs, lead times and inventory strategies. Ensures planning representation on projects supporting successful entry into new markets, products, and ventures. Develops, maintains and analyzes inventory management metrics. Recommends cost saving opportunities. Leads effort to reduce costs, increase efficiency and sustain company growth. Works with category and key customers to develop supply chain strategies that support company objectives. Oversees implementation, optimization, and utilization of automated planning systems. Provides support for multiple customer groups inside and outside of SCCO. Develops interpersonal relationships across all managed disciplines. Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results. Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews. Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements. Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions. Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.

What your background should be

8 years inventory planning in a manufacturing, consumer goods, distribution environment experience. 8 years supplier management experience. Working with automated procurement and inventory control systems experience. 7 years management including building cross-functional teams experience. 7 years managing multiple inventory management and planning functions experience. 7 years planning an inventory management processes and systems experience. 7 years progressive experience in planning, forecasting and inventory management experience. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to present information to senior leaders. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Attention to detail. Strong analytical skills. Working knowledge of all facets of the planning function. Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
