What you'll be doing
- Manufacturing Engineer will monitor, regulate and control the winding operations of prismatic lithium-ion battery manufacturing. Operate with minimum direction to control plant-manufacturing processes. Perform varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised. Monitor new processes, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to specifications is met before releasing new processes to production. Direct implementation of process changes and installation of any new equipment. Corroborate with plant quality control and manufacturing personnel to ensure that processes and equipments produce products that meets quality control and engineering standards. Review new and modified specifications for proper content and controls timely introduction of it into the manufacturing system. Audit compliance to new specifications. Check all new or old equipment, tools and the plant building to ensure that compliance with OSHA and EPA standards are met. Provide engineering counsel and assistance for correcting OSHA, EPA and waste disposal related problems. Perform special studies and analyses at request of plant or division management. Overtime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements. Perform any other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Minimum four years of experience in manufacturing environment, knowledge and experience in equipment automation. Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Required Schooling / Training
- BSME or BSEE
