What you'll be doing

The materials handler will determine when to establish new locations or warehouse and how to consolidate and arrange items to keep aisles and other traffic areas clear of obstructions. Prepare monthly storage reports. The responsible person for this asking position will also coordinate with project managers/program managers for delivery or pick up of IT equipment. The incumbent will be responsible to coordinate with other agency counterparts and other agencies by preparing documentation for the release of excess equipment. Coordinate acquisitions management services to obtain commercial bill of ladings to transport equipment. The material handler will perform monthly reviews for additions, changes, deletions and updates. The responsibilities mentioned above are just the outlines out of many other responsibilities the person in this position will be having.

What your background should be

The applicant for this position is required having the ability to serve as the primary materials handler in a small warehouse; knowledge of the overall warehousing plan; knowledge of records storage, removal and disposal of records from storage area. Applicant should be skilled in the use of on-site automated equipment and systems. The employee may be required to lift and carry supplies, materials and equipment weighing 40 pounds or more.
