What you'll be doing

Provide 1:2, small group, and in-class support for developing math students in grades 5-8. Analyze school-wide math assessment data, monitor progress, and manage student plans for developing math students. Assist teachers with data interpretation. Assist teachers in implementing new strategies to improve student learning. Assist administrators and other staff members in evaluating current math programs and identifying new materials, methods, approaches, and programs.

What your background should be

Current Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in secondary mathematics. As this teacher will work with grades 5-8, candidate must either (1) possess an additional endorsement in elementary education or (2) be highly qualified to teach elementary education by passing the Colorado place or Colorado department of education recognized PRAXIS exam. All license requirements must be met within the first 3 months of hire. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a classroom teacher, preferably in the middle school environment. Preferred experience/course work with Multiple Tiers of Support System (MTSS) or alternative/special education.
