What you'll be doing
- Responsible for entering and coding patient service and generating invoice to be sent to the patient. Sort and file paperwork, handle insurance claim, and perform collection duties. Translate patient information and into alphanumeric medical code. Collect post and manage patient account payment. Submit claim to insurance. Prepare and review patient statement. Perform process payment from insurance companies. Maintain strict confidentiality. Code patient service and enter into computer. Sort and file paperwork. Perform all other task as assigned.
What your background should be
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedure such as managing file and record, word processing, spreadsheet, etc. Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Certified coder preferred. Experience with CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding systems.
