What you'll be doing
- Performs testing in all relevant clinical areas in a timely manner. Ensures OSHA standards and universal precautions are followed at all times. Maintains quality control standards for all tests. Processes specimens from the clinic sites for analysis and referral. Performs inventory checks, supply ordering, restocking inventory and checking dates of supplies. Reads and interprets manual differentials on peripheral blood. Interacts and instructs in training student/staff of the department as assigned. Facilitates in helping department staff perform duties when assigned. Consults with appropriate lab management when testing difficulties are encountered. Participates in proficiency testing and corrective actions as assigned. Participates in quality assurance when assigned. Performs all other duties as required.
What your background should be
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in hospital setting. Ability to understands and can interpret levey-jennings graphs. Must have good communication skills. Ability in multitasking.
