What you'll be doing

Medical technologist will be responsible for performing the general technical assignments and testing in the section in accordance with current procedures and quality standards, under the supervision of the supervisor, ensuring that turnaround times agreed in each contract are met. Overview of the role to process samples and issue reports in accordance with written procedures responsible for the quality and timelines of technical procedures, as well as their compliance with applicable company and CAP testing requirements. Work closely with client services department to ensure all queries are resolved interacts with clients and internal/external auditors. Interacts with global technical staff for scientific related issues including ensuring that results cross-validation is maintained at all times. Responsible for performing proficiency testing in the section enters, reviews, and releases information in the LIS, such as test and quality control results and comments. Adheres to written internal and external quality control procedures in order to ensure the quality of results. Evaluate means and standard deviations for quality control materials and maintain corrective action logs as appropriate. Consults with the supervisor/manager prior to reporting out grossly abnormal results and notifies them when an out of control test run is encountered.

What your background should be

Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical technologist is required. Certification from American society of clinical pathologist. Knowledge of Microsoft applications preferred.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in medical technology or science related field.
