What you'll be doing
- A laboratory technologist for toxicology is needed for a growing reference laboratory in Knoxville, TN. The desired candidate will oversee all technical/testing functions of the laboratory. Company requires strong knowledge and experience with CLIA guidelines and clinical laboratory regulations in toxicology. Previous experience preparing for and passing a CLIA, COLA and/or CAP survey preferred but not required. This position will be performing toxicology drug testing on a chemistry analyzer and confirmation testing using LC/MS. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing and maintaining SOPs, day-to-day operations, QA/QC. Experience performing LCMS testing preferred, but not required. Must be willing to be trained.
What your background should be
- 1 year of experience as a technologist and 1+ years of supervisory experience is required. Previous lab management experience is strongly preferred.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or closely related field required.
