What you'll be doing
- The metal detailer will fulfill the duties, as described below, to ensure that the customer products are compliant to all drawing and specification requirements by removing all sharp edges, burrs, foreign objects, etc. May also operate cleaning and test equipment to confirm parts are free of debris and defects. Break all sharp edges, burrs, remove foreign objects on precision machined parts that have numerous intersecting holes. Understand the importance of removal of all foreign material. Understand and follow all safety protocol. Perform housekeeping duties within shop. Inspect parts after deburr to ensure properly completed to meet customer requirements. Provide feedback to management for process improvements. Alert management to any non-conformances with part.
What your background should be
- At least 6 months of experience in finishing department. Understands surface finish requirements as denoted on drawings and specifications. Experience in deburring of parts with intersecting holes and ported bores. Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school degree.
