What you'll be doing
- The Metro Systems Integrator will travel to stores to support, mentor and train all SSIs/SSSs in assigned Metro area. Work with regional IT coordinator & metro area STLs to develop a schedule of store visits and objectives four weeks in advance. When possible, serve as a back-up SSI/SSS for vacations or when an SSI/SSS is out. Schedule and lead regular meetings with the SSIs/SSSs in the assigned Metro area. Ensure that all IT hardware and software is functioning at all times in assigned stores. Work with regional IT coordinator to develop/enhance standards for how the scanning and IT duties are accomplished across all stores. Ensure that SSIs/SSSs in assigned metro area are adhering to these standards. Analyze the SSI/SSS duties that are performed and identify opportunities for efficiencies in the job function. Train new SSSs in their job duties. Continue to enhance training programs and ensure that SSIs/SSSs in the metro area are continuing to participate & enhance their knowledge. Update and maintain the SSI/SSS information repository. Develop tools that enable SSIs to work together and share information with each other virtually. Perform IT support in stores when hands-on support is needed. Assist SSIs with developing and conducting systems trainings in their stores. Partner with IT and store leadership to track the progress of individual SSIs/SSSs and the SSI/SSS team, identify needs and challenges that should be addressed and provide feedback for job dialogues. Assist with any IT projects or initiatives as assigned. Be available to help resolve emergencies that arise at a location in the metro area. Other duties may be assigned as needed in support of the IT team.
What your background should be
- Minimum 2 years as a successful Store Systems Integrator or equivalent experience is required. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of technical issues in a retail environment. A strong understanding of data maintenance and auditing processes. Experience conducting trainings in various formats. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze issues and develop processes to correct and/or improve outcomes. Ability to mentor and lead others and provide feedback. Proven track record of establishing objectives and executing on achieving those objectives. A passion for helping others and solving problems. Self-motivated with ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail. Strong time management skills, highly organized, good project management skills. Positive, enthusiastic, good sense of humor. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed to address store IT issues or to assist with an installation that must be done after hours. Ability to travel extensively among stores in the Metro area.
