What you'll be doing
- Develops and implements of very complex performance measurement and improvement initiatives. Guides very complex investigations by gathering data related to proper utilization of company labor, equipment, materials and facilities. Develops very complex planning of equipment layout, workflow, and accidental prevention measures to maintain optimum and safe utilization of plant resources. May guide the determination of the most economic methods, operation sequence and tooling for the fabrication of parts and finishing/assembly of components for very complex processes. Develops and implements key manufacturing or industrial technologies within very complex work environments. Develops designs and implements major changes in very complex manufacturing processes and equipment, to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce inventory. Guides very complex manufacturing engineer duties, including plan layout, scrap reduction and quality assurance. Develops and maintain supply chain tools to effectively manage the business. Manages projects related to making material flow, scheduling, purchasing and production control. Maintains project timelines. Designs lean material handling equipment and processes. Develops delivery routes and standard work associated with making material flow.
What your background should be
- Certification (six sigma, harris lean systems) is preferred. Knowledge is required in the following areas: Microsoft Office (including Access), SAP, and manufacturing, PFEP and MMF in a manufacturing environment. Preferred functional knowledge of various programming and script languages to include at least one or more of Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic .net, ASP.net, SQL server. Practical knowledge of databases and database applications is required. Typically 8+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. Provide specialized guidance or train support and/or professional staff. Leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated.
Required Schooling / Training
- BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree required. BS/BA in an engineering discipline-industrial, mechanical, etc. preferred.
