What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of non-inventory materials, goods, and services to support Mexicali and Irvine operations as well as global sites on a project basis. Work closely with the senior global commodity manager for indirect to assure global contracts are in place and complied. Will run reverse auctions and assure favorable pricing and delivery. Assure buying best in all areas of indirect. Responsible for driving cost reductions and compliance to corporate indirect programs. Maintain reports, oracle system and utilize company reporting and data analytics to assure buying best.

What your background should be

Minimum three or more years of supply chain experience. Must have working knowledge of manufacturing environments and the ability to read and understand manufacturing specifications and blue prints. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills; must work effectively as part of a team, be flexible, self-motivated, cooperative, handle difficult situations tactfully and perform multiple tasks.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent.
