What you'll be doing
- The client company is currently looking for a news writer. The candidate in this position is responsible to follow news online from an array of sources including social media-write short, sharp news posts that reflect the elle.com voice. The incumbent will come up with ideas for bigger features, personal essays, and more thoughtful pieces. The applicant will create click, shareable celebrity galleries. The role will understand the voice and audience of elle.com. Manage some administrative tasks.
What your background should be
- At least 2 years of writing experience in digital media. Ability to write fast, sharp, clean (and funny) copy. Background or interest in news gathering and reporting. Familiarity with pop culture, fashion, trends. Excellent at producing content with digital-friendly language. Fluent in Facebook, twitter, and generally a master of social media.
