What you'll be doing

Provide medical services to patients that frequent the gynecology, colposcopy and gynecologic oncology clinics and inpatient wards. Provide continuity of care for patients on the gynecologic oncology service, including those undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. Administer chemotherapy to patients in the care of oncologist as needed. Recruit and manage patients for participation in gynecologic oncology clinical trials. He/she shall participate in the education and supervision of students (including medical and nursing) on the gynecologic oncology service. Make diagnoses and prescribing treatment for common gynecologic conditions or diseases. Manage perioperative patients and patients receiving chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies as needed.

What your background should be

National certification, ACLS and CPR certification and proficiency in the use of medical and surgical instruments and equipment required by work. Department prefers gynecologic oncology experience.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree from a physician assistant program, approved by the council of medical education of the American medical association (AMA).
