Nursing Supervisor

What you'll be doing: Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code. Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned. Supervises and participates as needed in providing care for residents of the health center in accordance with facility standards of care and pertinent regulations. Responsible for the proper and timely provision of care in response to the apartment emergency system. Responsible for the assessment of health and mental status for each resident during the shift by making rounds in accordance with facility standards, and timely and accurate reporting of changes in conditions to all concerned parties. Ensures the timely documentation of nursing care, administration of medications, incident reports, physician orders, and all other aspects of care in the health center in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Ensures that all aspects of resident care meets the goals, objectives and standards of the department when in charge. Maintains communications with other operating departments and personnel; coordinates work orders, housekeeping requests, and meals with other departments. Approaches resident care from an effective interdisciplinary approach. Assists and supports charge nurse with new admission documentation and procedure.

What your background should be: Must have the ability to read, write and speak in English effectively. Must be able to work and make appropriate decisions consistent with established policies independently without consultation. Must have good communication skills. Must have multi tasking ability.
