What you'll be doing

Assist the outpatient pharmacy director with the development and implementation of pharmacy strategic initiatives. Assist the outpatient pharmacy director by providing leadership and direction of the pharmacy services, including drug distribution, drug education, pharmacist clinical activity, retail business expansion, performance measurement, regulatory compliance, employee development and multi disciplinary team development, in a single large or multiple small pharmacy location. Manage departmental personnel and operational practice to ensure compliance with federal and state law and regulation, statewide and departmental policy and procedure. Provide personnel management activity recruit, hire, train and evaluate, and terminate subordinate exempt and hourly personnel, involved in strategic workforce planning and succession planning.

What your background should be

Two years previous supervisory management experience in an integrated delivery system. Previous courses completed, in pharmacy business management or related subjects preferred. Proficiency in various databases and other computer usage. Demonstrated ability and skill in pharmacy business management, customer problem resolution, leadership and supervision.

Required Schooling / Training

B.S. in pharmacy required.
